Designed and engineered at our Highbridge Depot this particular project required a complex design where the roof splits in two levels and changes in pitch.

This required a central square lattice beam structure within the lower level roof area to support the upper level. As an added challenge, a wind girder design was also required to strengthen and stabilise the roof and the supporting masonry structure.

This contributed to the overall structural integrity of the building as a whole. The design also required a comprehensive timber lattice beam wind girder system supported underneath the roof and securely connected to the masonry/wallplates.

As an added feature the upper level also contains a flat roof section to allow for a feature turrett to be installed.

"We were very pleased with the quick and efficient service Manderwood provided us with during the design and manufacture of the reasonably complicated roof structure which included some significant wind bracing element in a short period of time. It was also refreshing that Damon Allen took time to come to site following delivery of the trusses to provide help and guidance to our team of carpenters fitting the roof. All in all good job well executed and we would be happy to use Manderwood again in future."
